Club House Altos de San Antonio by Dutari Viale Architects

A club house and spa located in the mountains of Córdoba, in the town of Carlos Paz. Its location in the mountains, the party conditions that proposes to harmonize all with views to the mountains creating a shelter from the winds, a central plaza. Admission arranged through a sequence of spaces. A semi-cover plaza create a welcoming atrium with the possibility of vehicular access. A series of thin concrete columns dilute the structure of the slab covering the entrance, creating an artificial grove, combine with a metal pergola, produce a game-changing lights and shadows on the columns and flooring. Two perpendicular planes of gray-blue stone obscure the view for a moment to give way to the hall immediately inside the building. These blue-gray levels refer to the archetypal figure of the Sierras de Cordoba, seen from afar. From there, the building opens to the lake and surrounding mountain ranges.

The party proposes developing the site with the program, dividing the project into two functional sectors. In court, the whole program shingles organizing functions in relation to the levels. On the upper level will be dining coffee shop, micro, mixed-use living and services for events as well as day care, and the bottom: gym, spa, indoor pool and youth areas. The book draws on the exploration of the expressive possibilities of light, a subject of recurring interest in the work of the study. This ability to illuminate the interior spaces with natural light in control manner at different times of day favors the reduction of power consumption of the whole. The materials used (concrete, natural stone, glass and aluminum) allows termination with low maintenance and high visual quality. The outdoor pool, located on the upper level, exceeds by a stone wall into a pool on the lower level, using the sound of water as a characteristic of the Cordoba hills which allows us to provide a particular quality in the space below. At this end of the upper part, the proposed building as an eye, a concrete pipe open to the visual landscape. Before the auction, a terrace, which serves as the outer hall, two terraces landscape links to respective sides. The building articulates the landscape spaces creating frame, and visual cuts that let you enjoy the game of architecture with nature in an environment characteristic of the hills of Cordoba.
