The proposed site for the location of the center is within the vicinity of the Castle and the Palace of Albalat dels Sorells which is a cultural interest in the category of monument. It is therefore an area enclosed with protective regulations by the Ministry of Culture and the Directorate General of Heritage that determines the performance.

Since the rules of protection of the castle walls urges aesthetically adapt to the type and traditional finishes with a series of recommendations (vertical holes, traditional materials, woodwork, pitched roofs, etc).

This proposal seeks to collect all these requirements for use as compositional mechanisms without renouncing to make modern architecture and integrated into the intone.

So decided to break down the building volume in different bodies with different heights allowing a reading of the facade more in keeping with the plot of the surrounding streets due to the excessive length of the facade.

This has been reinforced with the use of pitched roofs to the various bodies, making interpretation of the silhouette with some types of garden homes in the area.

Another inclusive aspect of the building to its surroundings would be materials used for construction and design of facades.

In this case we propose the use of continuous facades finished resolved traditional type of lime mortar or plaster in some cloth combined with other solid brick face side as it is quite common in early-century buildings that make up much of the village of the population.

This material allows the execution of lattices that can give the building a mass appearance and allow the passage of light, combining a modern and traditional at the same time thanks to the level of abstraction that is achieved.

Description of the solution

The most important aspect with the response to environmental conditions is the need that under no circumstances stop provide healthcare while making the construction of the new office. This requires planning and execution in two phases with unit result from the standpoint of form and function.

Has chosen to concentrate most of the construction in the side opposite the Clinic today. The scheme is based on a ground floor that occupies the entire plot on which stands a floor area less (about 40% occupancy).
