The earliest records of the construction of this home Outeiro Street, date back to late nineteenth century, when he started the romance. It is built with granite masonry and wood structure, and has undergone several changes during his lifetime.
At the beginning of the project, the main façade and the wooden structure were the only original elements that were to hold, and finally most of the structure remained, and from its original configuration was developed intervention. The building is three feet wide by 17 feet long and four stories.
The entry is kept on the ground floor and set the master bedroom on the first floor, locating the bathroom and the laundry in an intermediate floor. The second floor consists of living room, kitchen and dining room, leaving the office and the terrace on the top level. The purpose of this distribution was to enhance the connection between the social areas of the house and surrounding landscape.
Each area has a very different because of different textures and colors that were selected. On the ground floor was used plaster of coarse sand, with the same brown used for the outside, evoking the intimate atmosphere of a refuge – cave. The stairwell is completely white in the middle of the road are two pink panels that mark the main circulation and hide the guest bathroom and pantry.
The kitchen, which acts as a central element, is designed in a very open, to also become a meeting area. On the outside terrace is repeated on the wood coffee and pink flowers, like to end this “journey” through the house recalling its inception.
