The project builds upon the conversion of a fourteenth-century house in Puglia, southern Italy. The house was part of a “Masseria”, a traditional cottage in the region usually constructed stink, Domestic arena. For 500 years the masseria have been the focus of agricultural production of wheat, almonds, wine, olive oil, milk and cheese. During the second world war, most local residents moved from rural to urban areas leaving many masseria abandoned. That is why in recent years these buildings have since recovered and have been converted into hotels, museums or private homes.
