190m2 house in a “L” divided into two floors, living room, kitchenette, shower room on ground floor and first floor with study, bathroom and en suite master bedroom with walking closet. ” The area for visits on the ground floor (with a small common room and two ensuite bedrooms for guests) is located on the second part of the “L” in the center a ball joint movement which allows some independence between areas main guest areas to enhance privacy and achieving better control of energy consumption between different parts of the house.
The structure consists of 4 shipping containers reused. A secondary metal frame that serves as structural support for the two containers on the first floor.
As in all projects Infiniski, architecture tries to adapt to natural environmental conditions of the site for maximum energy autonomy of the home.
The house organized into “L” gives the main face in a southerly direction on the stunning views of the valley and nearby mountain while receiving direct heat of the sun in winter to heat the main façade. Given the location of the land to a higher altitude of 1,100 meters is a very cold in winter and containers will allow for greater heat radiation during those months, supplemented by ecosystem biomass heating. (Given the low budget housing and using the beauty Brutalist containers used to house most of this aesthetic to achieve this natural heating). The idea is that the volumes will be gradually absorbed by the ground vegetation creating a foreign plant to protect skin from the heat in summer. Also, the organization of the doors and windows in this space “L” permits a refreshing natural cross ventilation. The inner enclosure is made up of cellulose insulation comes from recycled newspaper and cork in some places, as well as replacing Fermacell plasterboard (dry-wall) with an organic composition.
The construction system operates on a modular design with prefabricated part workshop to limit transportation costs and pollution on site. The modular system allows the consideration of full implementation of the integrated home fast and consistent possible extensions if the client’s space needs change over time.
