Casa D – Takeshi Hamada
The house is located one block from the main street in the suburbs of Osaka, surrounded by many buildings of different programs, such as factories, schools and parks.
The garage of the house was called “Light Well” (good light), so that the whole building is divided into L-shape around it.
In the north facade, which faces the street, there is no window, And the rooms were designed so that light and air taken from the garage. Got galvanized steel plates on the front of the street and wooden doors up the access to housing.
The spatial structure is simple and on three levels around the garage housing. In the first level is the entrance area and two rooms. second floor serves as the common area and meeting area family, putting the kitchen, living and dining room within a room.
The children’s rooms were designed on the third floor, next to a space that connects to the lower level by eopen Scalera. There are no walls at this level, the rooms are separated from the common area with wooden sliding doors, so the space can be adapted according to changes in the family or other special occasions.
