Building 115 by Graham Baba Architects

The design goal of building 112, made by Graham Baba ArchitectsIs to recognize the requirements of the site and its unique features, providing a solution to housing in a city, and having a close collaboration with the client, contractor and architect. The resulting mixed-use building includes a commercial premises, 2 commercial offices and a residential unit. The building 115 has recently received the 2010 AIA Seattle Honor Commendation Award.

Fulfilling customer requirements to conduct a mixed-use space for living and another workspace, the building retains the central 115 district of Fremont, the current business and future arterial street integration of housing in the tissue urban.

The building has commercial premises and offices with a view of the street through transparent and translucent walls. The building allows the client to live comfortably in a totally adapted to the needs in an efficient open plan of 243.84 m2. Residents have the option of going through hiking, biking, sailing or by public bus routes. The project uses materials in a distinctive visual composition time, adding it to the neighborhood’s identity.
