A pied-à-terre is a small housing unit is usually located at some distance from the main residence of a person. In this case, it has used as permanent housing for one of the partners Snarkitecture. A 90 m2 private retreat contained within a larger area of 2.500 m2. The project was conceived as a experiment design and construction was accelerated and completed within two months.

The site chosen was an existing store, within which the volume is installed as a gift balanced on a shelf. Within this volume contains a simple and cheap program: a place to sleep and dress. A staircase leads up through a hatch hidden in the ground, entering a nursing home in the tree type, consisting only of a bed and a closet.

A gradient 25.000 gray areas lining the walls Starting from the darkest to the floor and clearing near as they come to heaven, where a lighted grid made of transparent panels revealing a similar texture to the walls when illuminated retro. This bright sky, the overhead light and mirrors to walls opposite shine and expand the space to create an illusory space that seems larger than the current.
