Bernts Have Daycare Center by Henning Larsen Architects

The childcare center has space for 56 children aged between 0 and 3 years and 80 children aged between 3 and 6. Located at the highest Have Berntsen, the building with its large green roof fits into the mountain, as it opens to the landscape, the sun and play areas to the south.

The simple, minimalist building is made of glass and wood. His form as a longitudinal section, compresses the nursery on a wing, children between 3 and 6 years in the other wings as well as the human resources department by connecting the two groups of children and wings. In the “climate zone”, there is a plant and ground cover for children between 3 and 6 years as well as large areas with flowers for the nursery.

This area serves as a protection from sun and as a supplement to pre-heat and heat the wings. It is an area that continues to further cool the seasonal changes in heat, making it possible for children to play outside without wearing gloves.
