The house is built on a plot of 3.500 m2 situated on the slopes of Cerro Otto and with panoramic views of Lake Gutiérrez. The site is a forest coihues an extraordinary beauty that inspires awe. From the beginning we sought to intervene as the place with the utmost respect. A fact not less was the fact that the access road passed through the top of the ground, since it was built, it would be seen from above.

It was not imposed in an isolated place and capricious, but of a design that had some dialogue with the environment. This was how the idea of ??making a large inclined plane, starting from the mountainside, was projected in counter to the lake. That plane had to be planted to replace some way, the vegetation would be lost with the introduction of the house. The intention is to keep planting the roof completely wild to resemble the floor of the surrounding forest.

The program was developed at two levels. On the ground floor stood being double-height dining room, guest bedroom, kitchen, laundry, servants’ quarters and garage. The upper floor was divided into three sectors. At one extreme is the master bedroom and the other children’s bedrooms. Between them there is to be intimate that balconea on living. The side facing the southwest, which is the highest level, has much of its glass surface, allowing all have major local view of the lake. The reception is expanding into the garden with stone terraces and a large wooden deck.

The structure is earthquake resistant reinforced concrete and the roof structure is wood. The walls are made of ceramic blocks and tables are lined with pine and cypress the outside inside. The low walls and outdoor fireplaces are covered in local stone.
