AG House by Studio Air
The commissioning of a multifamily dwelling became the space for reflection on ways of living in gated communities. The preservation of privacy of domestic life was one of the key issues for the construction of the arguments of the work.
A rigorous volume is implanted in the southwest corner of a batch of 80m x 80m to 10 m from the building. A rusty gate enables the income profiles. The space between the two is the place of receipt of the house where they leave two possible paths to the interior.
The program is developed around an intimate courtyard facing north. In this area are dumped in an explicit way the common features of the ground floor through large glazed and is generated within the link to the entire exterior. On the other hand the connection regulate private activities through small openings that ensure robust and tectonic character of the built mass.
The simplification of expression to be achieved before the formal qualities of space and produce a successful argument of what is present rather than understanding the experience as the result of the absence or the despoliation.
