In a previous publication, we anticipate the construction process of this work, the house AA2241 , winner of the contest Architecture Raffle 2009. Now we got the material to the finished work, which was recently inaugurated. Present it below. The competition required a single-family townhouse of 105 m2 (133m2 built) in an area between medians of 10 meters wide by 30 meters, while it also provided accessibility and energy efficiency requirements.
Housing projects on one level, ensuring a strong link to the ground. The slopes are minimal and are saved with small ramps, ditches, or holes in the floor recess. It seeks a slight departure from the “city noise” recessed housing policy beyond retirement, creating a large garden in front. The fields “public / private” domestic life defined in horizontal sequence. Schematically, three bands contain the program. In front, the social, service center and conservatory patio in the back bedroom.
The quad-gas (mobile transparent roof) acts as a link, allowing the expansion of space while the energy source, allowing heat build up in winter and cross-ventilation of the areas in summer. The house in winter inside expands into the space, being even larger than in summer. It seeks a bright interior with a bounded range of materials, and strong eye contact with the outside landscaped vegetation.
The medians are working in brick and painted white bag, the slab concrete, the monolithic white pavement in situ, while the facades are resolved with white aluminum windows DVH, metal shutters and perforated aluminum screened / exposed to light inside while acting as a safety enclosure and sun protection. Elected terminations ensure proper aging housing, and low maintenance cost.
