The trabocco is an old fishing machine “typical of the Adriatic coast. These buildings consist of a platform supported on stilts over the sea. Horizontally is fixed by long poles or antennas, holding a large fishing net with canes leaving the platform.
As time passes, however, these architectural features light lose their meaning and original purpose for which they were originally designed and gradually became royal rooms on the sea.
The renovation project “trabocco” recalls the historical tradition of the old structure “trabocci” but with a new look and a new use.
The project follows the principle of extreme simplicity, unbroken lines follow the contour of the structure. Inside the terminals include the design of a kitchen area and a lounge / dining room, while the bottom has a small bathroom and a pantry.
The material used is wood of larch, which corresponds to that used by fishermen.
