This project is intended to make an estate about what can be social housing, providing high quality houses controlled costs, and promoting a strong image within the city.
The 26 units in the building are arranged around a central bay containing the staircase, intending to take advantage of the position angle with the site. The service centers are clustered at the center of the building and common use areas are benefiting from a double exposure. The view of the Seine and the surrounding countryside is widely visible. The facade is a structural skin that allows the removal of walls within the departments and thus give greater versatility to the space over time.
While the departments are based on a logical principle of organization, order of the balconies and the setback is what gives it its unique character to each unit. Each apartment benefits from a private outdoor space, gardens on the first floor, balconies on the middle floors and terraces on the higher.
The choice of a principle, applying a continuous material for facades group expresses the sense of unity and reinforce the geometry of the work.
The exterior is enriched by the diversity of exterior balconies that create a frame with a game on the facade. The use of bricks as skin adds complexity and gives the impression of an ever-changing facade.
